Audiolift is a French startup based at the KIVO incubator on the Centrale Nantes campus. Founded by Damien Jacquet, the inventor behind its technology, Audiolift has developed a patented solution enabling the professional audio industry to transform stereo mixes into immersive, spatial audio experiences.

At a time when immersive audio markets are growing rapidly, Audiolift provides an ideal bridge between existing stereo content and multichannel sound systems.

Audiolift’s algorithms and control software have been integrated into a high-performance real-time processing platform designed for live and installed sound applications: the AIP – Audiolift Immersive Processor.

Adding networked digital audio connectivity to the processor was an obvious requirement. Following a market review, Audiolift selected a redundant Dante® AoIP interface with AES67 compatibility as the preferred solution.

Damien Jacquet turned to Lens Audio to provide the expertise required for this integration. Our recommendation quickly focused on Dante Embedded Platform™ (DEP), a software stack specifically designed for native Dante implementations in this type of environment.

David Rocher, founder of Lens Audio, explains :
“Dante Embedded Platform™ is the software stack that enables native solutions to connect directly to a Dante® network while delivering the features required by professional and mobile applications, including redundancy, low latency, high channel and flow capacity, and AES67 compatibility.
In early 2025, we decided to invest in a DEP licence and develop the expertise required to implement it efficiently and robustly. There is an initial engineering investment for the product manufacturer, as a DEP integration requires us to consider the hardware architecture, operating system and its interaction with the audio application.
However, that investment is quickly offset by the flexibility of DEP and its highly competitive production economics. We were convinced that native Dante implementations would become an important part of the market, so we chose to develop that expertise at the right time — and Damien joined us on that journey.”

The first AIP units have now been delivered to customers, with the first deployments taking place over the summer. Damien Jacquet has been closely involved in these initial installations and shares his first feedback:
“Choosing a native Dante® implementation was a prerequisite for this project. David and Benoît brought the expertise we needed to make the protocol integration both highly reliable and extremely efficient.
Thanks to their optimisation work, I can now deliver my technology on a processor designed for 24/7 operation, with an exceptionally low latency of just 4.7 ms, while remaining easy to maintain and truly plug-and-play.”

We would like to sincerely thank the Audiolift team for their trust in Lens Audio. We are proud to see this first implementation already supporting an innovative new product and look forward to seeing where the technology goes next.

Wishing the AIP processor a successful take-off — and Audiolift every success on the journey ahead.
